How To Deal With Anxiety Or Panic Attacks

Want to know how to deal with anxiety or panic attacks?  It’s a common problem that over 40 million Americans have to deal with and it can be a really frightful experience to deal with on a continual basis if you have no idea what to do about it.  But with these tips in mind, you should be able to better manage if you find yourself in another panic attack:

1.    Know When To Say NO!

One way to deal with anxiety or panic attacks is to not take too much onto your plate at any one time.  What I mean by that is, a lot of anxiety is created by putting yourself in an extremely stressful situation where you feel you have to do too much work in too short a timeframe.  This creates stress and anxiety which can be avoided if you don’t take on more than you can handle.  If you don’t have time to take on certain obligations, don’t force them on yourself or it will hang over your head and cause you unnecessary anxiety.

2.    Let It Out

Sometimes anxiety or panic comes about from a lot of repressed emotions and stresses.  It’s for this reason it can be a good idea to keep a private journal where you can let out all those negative feelings you’re carrying around with you.  It would also be helpful to join a gym and let some steam off through exercise.

3.     Take Time Out For Yourself

So that you don’t wind up getting overwhelmed, make sure you give yourself some time each day to unwind and relax.  You’ll be happier and healthier for it.
