Panic Attack Medicine

Looking for panic attack medicine?  One of the most popular ways of treating panic attacks is with SSRI’s which stands for Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors.  I know that’s a mouthful, but you may be more familiar with their brand names like Paxil, Prozac or Zoloft.  They are easily accessible which is why they’re so widely used, but you should be aware that there are side effects.

Side Effects?

Some side effects from the above panic attack medicine would include poor sleep, excessive sweating and fatigue.  Worst of all, there is a potential for reduced “sexual functioning”.
If you decide against those treatments because of those side effects, you can then consider taking SNRI’s or Serontoin & Noradrenaline Re-uptake Inhibitors.  These affect the levels of serotonin and norepinephrine in the brain.  An example of this kind of drug would be Venlafaxine(Also known as Effexor).

And This Has Side Effects Too!

Yup, you may get nausea, sweating, sleep disturbance, increased blood pressure and the dreaded sexual dysfunction yet again.

Ok, What OTHER drugs are there?

Well, you can try MAOI’s which are Monomine Oxidase Inhibitors but these aren’t prescribed as much due to the potential for serious dietary and drug interactions(ie: you can’t eat certain things while on this like alcohol, cheese and other fermented foods).  If you went with this you’d be looking at Marplan, Nardil or Parnate.

Yawn! Ok The Bottom Line!

The bottom line is make sure you talk to your doctor in detail about all this before you pick a panic attack medicine, you can seriously mess yourself up if you don’t take these properly.  I’d advise before you get into this you try out some more natural methods, because these are not only unhealthy but they are only a crutch.  You will not be able to get rid of panic attacks with pills, you’ll only cover up the problem.

To completely cure this problem I’d recommend you check out the “One Move Technique”, it’s been used successfully by over 27,000 people so far: click this link for more info
